John Burningham born April 27, 1936, Farnham, Surrey, England is an English author and illustrator of picture books. He is married to Helen Oxenbury, another British illustrator. He won the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1963 for his first picture book, Borka: The Adventures of a Goose With No Feathers.
